"I wasn't that sure about massage before I tried it. I found Kaci's Equine Massage on facebook, and she offered to look at my horses for free at the upcoming state show. ER had been injected several months before and he wasnt really performing like he used to since we had gotten back from the NHSFR. The first of the show ER had real wide barrels and wasnt working for me. He ran a 16.2 which was really off for him. The next morning he ran a 15.7 in the youth class. Right after the youth class Kaci looked at him, and I decided that he needed to be massaged. Kaci is very professional, and she is great with horses. I ran ER again that night after he was massaged. He ran another 15.7 in the open class. He qualified back to the youth and open finals. The morning of the short go, he felt really loose warming up, and I could tell he was ready to run. He ran a 15.2 in the youth finals. He won the 2010 MS NBHA State Youth 2D title, and he qualified back in the 3D. After my first experience with Kaci's Equine Massage, I was hooked. ER got hurt a few months after our win at state show, but we are hoping to have him back to running barrels with time. Now I am running my 8 year old mare, Hotty, who gets massaged before each big run we go to. Kaci drives all the way to Canton, if she isnt going to the show, to work on Hotty. “Due to a series of physical limitations that I incurred, I was unable to ride my horse for about five months. Subsequently, he lost his muscle tone in many areas of his body.
I began having Kaci Thornhill come and perform equine massage on my horse and, remarkably, people began to comment on my horse and how good he looked, particularly since he had not been ridden.
Having used people previously in the field of equine massage, I was not really excited about the results. However, after Kaci's first encounter with my horse, I was amazed at how competent, kind, patient, and professional she was with both my horse and I. I ask a lot of questions which Kaci takes the time to answer and makes sure I understand her answers.
Just watching my horse's facial expressions is so satisfying. She does not rush, is sensitive to each horse's individual needs (I have watched her work on other horses), and the relaxed facial and bodily expression on my horse (and the others I have observed) is astounding. She is the real deal! Kaci gives me a written analysis of her findings at the end of each session so that I can track how my horse is doing. She is the best!"
